CFP: Journal of Folkloristics

Research papers are invited for Volume X (2026) of the Journal of Folkloristics (ISSN 2347-8934), a peer-reviewed research journal published annually by the Department of Folklore Research, Gauhati University covering the broad areas of folklore, cultural studies, and humanities.

Details of the Submission

Manuscripts for original research papers should have the following headings-

• Title
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Data Source and methodology
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion
• References (APA 7th Edition)

The title of the paper, name(s). professional/academic affiliation(s) and full postal address(es), including email, and phone numbers of the author(s) should appear on a separate title page, as the manuscript will be submitted for anonymous reviews.

Typescripts should be double-spaced with normal margins on all sides. All manuscripts must be composed in MS Word with 12-point Times New Roman font. The length of the papers must be between 5000 to 8000 words including notes and references.

All papers must be accompanied by an abstract of between 250 to 300 words. Five keywords should follow the abstract which include one for the locality, one for the topic, one for the method and two others relevant to the paper.
